Feb 2020. A beautifully restored cottage with lovely period features (a treat for the history lovers), this was a very cosy place to return to after exploring the Saddleworth area, even on cold and wet February days. Thanks for a warm welcome.Detailed rating

May 2019. Hawkyard's is a beautiful cottage in a lovely setting. The kitchen and living room are spacious yet cosy, with breathtaking views out towards the Peak District. The architecture is charming. The bedroom was very comfortable, also with stunning views. Everything was clean and well kept. Mike was a great host; very accommodating and always on hand if needed.

May 2019. We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely, comfortable period cottage in the pretty village of Dobcross. Many original features of the cottage have been retained and we found it very tastefully furnished, including a number of wonderful antique pieces. Super cosy kitchen with large table and Aga too! The cottage is surrounded by beautiful moorland scenery and countryside and is in a perfect situation for visiting the area. We loved the peaceful location and scenic views. Unfortunately the weather did not oblige and allow us to take advantage of meals in the garden, next time! A perfect visit and we do hope to return. Thank you Mike.
